Community Network Companion under Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN) organized the 1st Free Elderly Canteen programme since May 2015 and has received appreciations from the elderly. Besides developing up the elderly friendship network, some elderly even became volunteers!

Thanks for all the support, the quota of the 2nd phase of the Free Elderly Canteen has already been filled up and we apologize for the elderly members who cannot enroll into the programme. HKCN will
continue to promise for our caring services and thanks again for all the support and love!




Community Network Companion - Health Check and Talk on Public Housing Application

Community Network Companion under Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN) organized two events for the Nepalese members in Tin Shui Wai on Sept 30, including free women health check by Faculty of Medicine of The Chinese University of Hong Kong, and talk on public housing application by HKCN's Service Director Mr. Fan Kwok Fai. Both activities are appreciated and the members wish we can organize more talks and activities for their integration!






Community Network Companion - Mid-Autumn Festival Party

Community Network Companion under Hong Kong Community Network organized the Mid-Autumn Festival Party on 26/9/2015.

Serving more than 100 elderly and new arrivals, the whole Centre was packed with people! We had festival games and information booths in the corridor, and festival food such as mooncakes and fruits are served! The top 10 volunteers are voted by members and lucky draw is also held to celebrate this big day! Every participant received a gift bag and had a happy day! We wish all of you happy Mid-Autumn Festival.


LINK Centre - EID Party

Spectacular! More than 300 members came to Hong Kong Community Network - LINK Centre for the EID party on 24/9! Games are conducted to promote traditional Islamic culture, and there were a lot of Halal food for members to celebrate this big festival! We wish all happy and healthy in the coming year!


Education and Job Fair

(Education and Job Fair - 16 Aug, 2015)
Hong Kong Community Network, LINK Centre and  Community Network Companion organized the education and job fair on 16 Aug, 2015, providing employment opportunities for ethnic minorites in Kwai Ching District. Job opportunities including logistics, aviation, transportation, catering, tourism, civil, and social services are provided with workshops for interview skills and CV writing. 
We believe it is essential for the employers to welcome employees from different ethnic backgrounds, not only can this helps the minorities to achieve career success while developing their potentials, but also to make Hong Kong a more culturally harmonious city.

Application Guide & Application Form


Emergency Aid Fund was established on July 1st 2015, it aims to help our members (Ethnic Minorities/ Elder people/ disabled people/ low income families) to get through the difficulties and crisis in a short time.

Applicant Qualifications

You are eligible to apply for the fund if you meet all the following requirements:

1.          You are a Hong Kong resident with Hong Kong ID.

2.          You are of 18 years and above.

3.          You need extra money or you can’t maintain the normal life when you face natural diseases or emergency issues.

4.          You didn’t apply for any aid fund or you are still waiting for the fund from government (for example:Comprehensive Social Security Assistance (CSSA) or Social Security Allowance (SSA) )

5.          You should come to HKCN’s office by yourself to apply

6.          You can apply for it as individuals or as families

7.          You should agree with our organization’s aims and are willing to be the members of HKCN.

Aid Items

Hong Kong Community Network does not have specific items to limit your application, anyone can apply for the fund under a special crisis included natural diseases or emergency issues.

Aid Figures

Our Organization’s Fund Committee will determine the amount of the aid figures based on different cases. The approved amount will range from 500HKD to 3000HKD. The upper limit for individual application will be 2000 HKD, and family application will be 3000HKD.


Fund Distributing Method

The way to distribute will be through crossed cheque or case, you should come to HKCN’s office to get it and sign after receiving the fund except under special circumstances.

Application process

You can get the application form from our office or you can download here. Please fill into the form and take the documentary evidence (like : HKID / bank statement / tax statement/ salary statement / school textbook assistance/ CSSA supporting certification and other assets certification ) to Hong Kong Community Network office (Room 1501,15/F, Kwai Cheong Centre, 50 Kwai Cheong Road, Kwai Chung, H.K.) , or you can hand in it to LINK Centre address(Shop B-E, G/F, Cheong Nin Building, 1013-1033 Kwai Chung Road, Kwai Chung, N.T.) or Community Network Companions(Room 1501,15/F, Kwai Cheong Centre, 50 Kwai Cheong Road, Kwai Chung, H.K.).

The secretariat will contact the applicant within 3 working days and we will notify the results to applicants after 4 working days counting from the day the applicant submits the documents. 

LINK Centre Opening Ceremony

(Hong Kong Community Network (HKCN) - LINK Centre Opening Ceremony - 27 June 2015)

LINK Centre under HKCN is the 6th ethnic minority service support centre funded by the Home Affairs Department in Hong Kong. The centre started the service since 30 Oct 2014 and has received highly recommendation by ethnic minorities. Different family support and youth development programmes are carried out to help ethnic minorities in developing a supportive social network.

More than 200 people attended the opening ceremony, including representatives from the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government, Home Affairs Department, Kwai Ching District Officer, Hong Kong Federation of Trade Unions, different Consulates in Hong Kong, different government departments, President and Service Director of HKCN, as well as ethnic minority service users. Couraging speeches given by honorable guests and different cultural performances made a warm and welcoming environment. 



Youth Cultural Guided Tour

Date: 28th July, 2013

Venue: Shing Mun Country Park

Description:We guided the youths to Shing Mun Country Park, one of the attractions representing the local outing culture in Hong Kong. During the activity, the youth could mutural care and communicate with each other. Thus, they could gradually form a caring mind for the nature, life and others.


Birthday Party & Festival Celebration

We organize birthday party for our student members, we invite their parents to join the party, aimed to create more chances for the ethnic minorities to have fun and increase interaction with their family. And also, we organize various festival celebrations, for example mid-autumn and Christmas party for the ethnic minorities, which aimed to embrace cultural inclusion.

Birthday Party

Description: We organized a birthday party for between June to September-born students. We hope that they will have an unforgettable birthday party. It was an acceptable, respectable, equal and multicultural party, for example, we were wearing ethnic minority’s clothes, speaking greeting in Pakistani, playing Pakistani games, performing Chinese traditional shows and balloon twisting.

Mid-Autumn Festival

Description: This event is aimed to let the ethic minorities’ students experiencing the fun of Chinese traditional festival via different games and exercises, for example, lantern riddles, learning the name of Mid-Autumn Festival food and eating the moon cakes.

Christmas Party

Description: This event is aimed to let the ethic minorities’ students have a very merry Christmas. The vice-president of directors board, Miss Maya Lin and the member of executive committee, Ms Constance Yu attend the party, to communicate with the EM students and present presents to them.


Disneyland Day Trip-Family Outing

We invited 200 ethnic minorities to visit Disneyland. We hoped that the event could enrich ethnic minorities’ life experience in Hong Kong via playing and visiting Disneyland, and it is a platform for embracing social inclusion. It was a chance for the ethnic minorities to enjoy the fun and improve communication with family. Moreover, they met new friends (from the same county) in the event. All of them enjoyed the event and thought the event as a nice platform for them to have fun with family and friends.
